Instructions
Step 1: The Cleansing
- Face Washing: Start with a clean face. Use your regular cleanser to remove the day's (or night's) grime. Remember, clean skin is like a blank canvas; you wouldn’t paint over a dirty one, right?
Step 2: The Application
- Scoop It: Use your fingers (or a small spatula if you're feeling fancy) to scoop out a small amount. A little goes a long way unless you're planning on waterproofing your face for a deep-sea adventure.
- Warm It: Rub the cream between your fingers to warm it. This not only feels nice but helps the cream to spread more evenly. Think of it as preparing the tallow for its new life on your skin.
- Spread: Apply it gently to your face. Use upward strokes from the jawline to the cheeks to avoid pulling your skin down towards gravity's dark embrace. Cover your face, avoiding the immediate eye area unless the product specifies it's okay for there.
- Massage: Give your face a mini-massage. This isn’t just for the cream’s sake but also to boost circulation. Plus, it's a good excuse to give yourself some love.
Step 3: Let It Sink In
- Allow the cream to absorb into your skin. This might take a moment or two. Use this time to admire your reflection or plot your next move in life's great game.
Step 4: The Aftercare
- Pat Dry: If there's any excess, you can gently pat it away with a tissue or leave it if your skin drinks it all up like a parched traveler in the desert.
- Moisturize (Optional): If your tallow cream isn't super rich or if your skin is particularly thirsty, you might layer a lighter moisturizer on top.
Step 5: Enjoy the Glow
- Bask in the glow of your newly moisturized skin. You've taken a step back in time with tallow cream, embracing the wisdom of our ancestors who probably didn't have the skincare aisle but knew a thing or two about rendering fat.
